HYDROPONICS
Each year as I get older I experiment with different things to keep me busy. With the start of 2010 I made the decision to experiment with hydroponics in my basement. Here are the two first pictures.
The four crops represented in my initial attemps are:
Spinach
Leaf Lettuce (St. Louis variety)
Tomatoes - four different varietys
Peppers (Green Bell)
The above pictures represent 6 weeks growth from seed.
Tomatoes are fed 3-6-9 while Lettuce are given 10-8-22.
Lighting on the left is metal halide 150W while the flourescents are 6000K (color) 34watt T-12 bulbs with a total count of 4 bulbs.
RF ENERGY AND PLANT EXISTANCE
I am also running growth experiments with several varieties of plants and vegetables when bombarded with magnetic energy from my MagLoop (MFJ) Antenna. The first plants to die as a result of the magnetic force seems to be Basil, Chives, Parsley and Lettuce. Each day I will post my notes on what is happening in these experiments.
Tomatoes amazing sizes, low acidity - growing season is over and we will update you as we start new crops in January.
